About IMI
International Mediation Institute has been created as an international public policy initiative following research and analysis by three leading non-profit dispute resolution bodies:
Netherlands Mediation Institute (NMI)
Singapore Mediation Centre/Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SMC/SIAC)
International Centre for Dispute Resolution/American Arbitration Association (ICDR/AAA)
IMI's Board is Chaired by Michael McIlwrath, Senior Counsel - Litigation, GE Infrastructure - Oil & Gas.
This initiative is intended to benefit and add value to users of dispute resolution services (disputants and their professional advisers), mediators and mediation service providers, governments and centres of learning.
IMI has been incorporated in The Netherlands as a non-profit Foundation (Stichting) and is centred in The Hague. It is being led on a pro bono basis by Michael Leathes.
