Conflict Leadership
Conflict is not only something to manage, it also needs to be led. That leadership task is open to all stakeholders - users, providers, mediators, trainers, judiciary, educators, and government agencies. It entails looking beyond the limits current cases and vested networks. It's a task that should be borne out of the compelling need to see outcomes arrived at as quickly as possible.
On September 3rd 2009, IMI Director Michael Leathes presented an explosion of ideas on conflict leadership to a group of 24 General Counsel of major companies, all of them actual or potential users of mediation.
