News from the Singapore Mediation Workshop

We are pleased to share with you this report from the recently concluded Singapore International Mediation Workshop!

The event was organised by the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), together with students from the National University of Singapore. The objective of the workshop was to introduce undergraduates to the basics of mediation through seminars and role-play, and also to take them on guided tours of the various institutions involved in mediation in Singapore such as the Family Justice Courts, the Singapore State Courts, the Singapore Mediation CentreMaxwell Chambers, the Singapore International Mediation Centre and the Community Mediation Centre.

In line with the name of the workshop, the participants came from a variety of countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and China, in addition to local Singapore students. The workshop was a great success, with every participant indicating that they were satisfied with the workshop and a third indicating that they were very satisfied.

Pictures of the event have been uploaded onto SIMI’s Facebook page here.
