IMI Board updates

At its Q4 Board meeting, IMI farewelled several long-standing members, and voted to welcome four more.

Departing at this time were László Molnár, Karl Hennessee, and Michael McIlwrath. They were each essential in driving IMI into its new era. Michael was elected an ongoing Honorary Director, due to his special and much appreciated efforts as prior Director, Board Chair, Treasurer, and indeed Co-Chair of IMI’s international Global Pound Conference series.

Alexander Fessas of the ICC was replaced as member by his colleague, Alya Ladjimi.

We also welcome four new members:

  1. Angela Herberholz in France, YMI co-founder and manager, and a force of nature in helping young mediators progress their careers
  2. Laila Ollapally in Bangalore, a thoughtful speaker and IMI Certified Mediator who worked on the recent Indian mediation legislation. Her organisation, CAMP, has an IMI Qualifying Assessment Program (QAP)
  3. James Mangerere in Kenya, IMI Certified Mediator, Appraisal Committee member, and head of MTI East Africa, which has both an IMI QAP and Certified Mediator Training Program. James is an inspiring speaker and has made incredible progress promoting mediation throughout eastern Africa
  4. David Weiss in the US, a long-standing IMI supporter who founded the Institute for Dispute Resolution at New Jersey City University (which also has a QAP). David was heavily involved in local events for the Global Pound Conference series

IMI’s current Board members are drawn from Singapore, India, the UAE, Kenya, Nigeria, France, the Netherlands, Finland, UK, and the US.

Thank you again to those that who have served to shape IMI into the future, and welcome to the new members!
