The Singapore Convention Week 2021

The Singapore Convention Week 2021 (SC Week), held from 6 – 10 September, brings together top practitioners and headline makers in the international dispute resolution scene. Across the week-long series of activities, legal practitioners, business executives and government officials from around the world will gather to hear from thought leaders in the field, and glean practical insights on the latest innovations and trends in alternative dispute resolution to serve the fast evolving needs of businesses. SC Week is organised by the Singapore Ministry of Law (MinLaw), in collaboration with supporting partner organisations, including international dispute resolution institutions.

At the heart of the SC Week is the inaugural UNCITRAL Academy, held from 7 – 8 September and jointly organised by MinLaw and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). With the theme “A World in Transition”, UNCITRAL Academy 2021 casts an eye to the future, and features C-level executives and industry heavyweights in a series of fireside chats, panel discussions and capacity-building workshops. They will share their views and experiences on the evolution and increasing relevance of cross border alternative dispute resolution solutions for businesses, and how companies and practitioners can successfully navigate the complex business environment in today’s world in transition.
