Ms. Weintraub is a mediator and arbitrator for AAA, CPR and the Better Business Bureau. She is the founder of ACCORD, LLC, offering dispute resolution, facilitation and conflict prevention services, and Weintraub Legal Services, providing business law services. Ms. Weintraub was previously employed as in house counsel and then in senior management at Amtrak. With her extensive legal background, business experience, dispute resolution skills and entrepreneurial mindset, Ms. Weintraub is a highly effective mediator of business disputes.

ADR Background: Ms Weintraub serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the AAA's Commercial Panel and Large Complex Case Panel. She was recently selected as a distinguished neutral for CPR's Pennsylvania Panel and Franchise Panel. She also arbitrates and mediates for the Better Business Bureau.

Legal and Business Background: Ms. Weintraub has over 25 years' legal experience primarily in business law. She has negotiated complex commercial transactions, including several $100 million plus acquisitions of equipment with international manufacturers, leveraged lease financings, and multi-million dollar long term outsourcing contracts. Her clients include high technology companies, engineering firms, telecomm consultants, insurance brokers, IT consultants, training providers, educational consultants, retail stores, healthcare providers, medical billing firms, radio and TV show producers, software developers, construction contractors, consulting companies, service providers, marketing firms, manufacturers and accountants. She has extensive experience representing clients in the railroad and airline industries. As General Manager at Amtrak, she managed a department of 40 engineers, and was responsible for engineering design, quality assurance, project management, testing and acceptance of rail equipment, warranty management, and maintenance management systems.

Mediations handled by Ms. Weintraub have included disputes involving accounting firm malpractice and default issues, hospitals and healthcare service providers, gas pipelines, warranty matters, employment (age discrimination, disability discrimination, wrongful termination), distribution agreements, attorney/client fee disputes, and conflicts among multiple business partners. Ms. Weintraub has also mediated several small claims matters for courts, agencies and individuals, including neighborhood disputes, divorce settlement agreement, landlord/tenant, and personal injury claims.

I view my role as mediator as encompassing the following functions: (1) ensuring that each party has the opportunity to present its case and that each party understands the position and needs of the other party(ies), (2) facilitating the discussion, (3) skillfully probing the parties' positions and uncovering their underlying interests and needs, (4) helping the parties develop alternative resolutions to meet their needs, (5) managing the different personalities and emotions in the meetings, and (6) assisting the parties to overcome impasse including, where needed, and where the parties desire, providing an impartial assessment of each party’s position, in order to help the parties arrive at a settlement. My legal expertise, dispute resolution experiences and training, and business acumen from my years as a business executive and being an entrepreneur enable me to be highly effective in helping businesses resolve their disputes.

Hourly Rate: $400 Per Hour
Hourly rate charged for all time associated with the engagement including administrative & study time. Travel time billed at half of hourly rate. Expenses incurred in connection with the engagement billed at cost. Postpone/cancel Fee: within 72 hours of mediation, 4 hours charged, plus applicable travel cancellation fees & expenses.
