LL.B.(Soton), MBA, PhD, FCI.Arb., FInstCPD, FRSA, Barrister, CEDR mediator and arbitrator. Andrew practises domestically in professional indemnity, disciplinary and regulatory claims and in commercial, property and administrative law. He is recognised internationally as one of the foremost mediation advocates and mediation advocacy trainers in the world, having worked in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Turkey, Nigeria, France, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, India, Thailand, Oman, Singapore, Kuwait, Cayman Islands, BVI, Jersey, Guernsey and the UAE. He has been identified as a leading junior at the Professional Negligence Bar by the legal directories since 1995. He is also recommended as a leading mediator in The Legal 500. He has maintained a niche practice in franchising for over twenty years.Andrew writes and lectures extensively on advocacy, communication skills and dispute resolution and is a Bar Council, NITA (UK), NLS and ABA advocacy trainer. He has published over 40 books on law and legal skills. In 2005 Andrew was appointed Professor of Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution at Rushmore University, teaching at the Zealand Business School, Denmark from 2019. He has been a peripatetic lecturer in mediation and dispute resolution at UCL, SOAS and Birkbeck Colleges, University of London, and at the Universities of Southampton, Bristol, Reading, Cardiff; Nottingham Trent, Manchester Metropolitan and London Metropolitan, Northumbria, BPP University College and the College of Law. Andrew Goodman is the Convenor (Director) of the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates (SCMA: http://www.mediationadvocates.org.uk/); Director of the Association of Mediation Assessors, Trainers and Insructors (AMATI) (http://www.amati.co.uk) on the editorial board of Professional Negligence and Liability Reports, the Journal of ADR Theory and Practice, the Jackson ADR Handbook (UK) and a trustee of the Centre for Peaceful Solutions. Andrew became a Bencher of Inner Temple in 2009. He is a member of the Independent Standards Commission of the International Mediation Institute, and Co-chair of its Mediation Advocacy Sub-committee of its Independent QAP Appraisals Committee; a trainer and member of the Advisory Board of the Nepal International ADR Centre and an IMI Ambassador for mediation development in Nigeria. Andrew is a senior mediator of the Mainland Hong Kong Joint Mediation Centre, the Nepal International Mediation Centre and the Thailand Arbitration Centre.
