I use facilitative, transformative, evaluative, narrative in an ecosystemic and cocreational way. The principles of mediation are facilitative, self-determination, confidential (with exceptions) and of course voluntary.

As a mediator, I see it is my role to hear the conflict from the perspectives of the parties and facilitative the parties to self determine outcomes that are acceptable.

From my perspective, every individual needs to understand their own responses and understanding of the conflict. Should this be learning for every individual, perhaps, it would support open and honest communications within families, communities, countries, and worldwide. Conflict should not be seen as a negative but seen as a wonderful opportunity to learn when addressed openly and honestly.
