I have a very down-to-earth, practical, mediation style that creates a safe and confidential space for parties to share what is required to understand the stiuation from each other's perspective so they can work together to arrive at a solution that best meets the needs of everyone who will be impacted. I have training in interest-based, transformative, narative, and evaluative mediation. My roots are in Restorative Justice work which focuses on healing harms caused by crime. The restorative justice background influence how I work with parties. I am a good listener and very good at helping parties narrow down what they need agreements on and what they need to clear the air on.

Employment Disputes; oil and gas/landowner disputes; victim/offender cases; complaints against police officers; internal municipal disputes. I am extremely comfortable mediating highly emotionally charged situations. Paula also has extensive experience conducting conflict assessments and designing dispute resolution systems for organizations and communities.
