19th ICC Commercial Mediation Competition: Calling All Professionals!

IMI and YMI jointly call all experienced mediators and mediation trainers, to be a part of the International Chamber of Commerce’s largest educational event of the year. 

The 19th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition is taking place from 5-10 February 2024 in Paris, France. The competition week is an opportunity for mediation professionals to engage with 100+ experienced professionals from around the world while guiding 48 teams in the role of a mediator or judge. The competition during which more than 100 mock mediations will take place is open to newcomers and returning professionals from the last editions.

Selection criteria for mediation professionals: 
  • Mediation qualifications and accreditations
  • Experience in (commercial) mediation
  • Other relevant dispute resolution experience and professional background
  • Experience in conducting mediation and ADR trainings
  • Availability
  • English language skills
  • Cross-cultural experience

Submit your application here until 10 November 2023.  

Not there yet in your mediation career? Apply to volunteer as a “Mediation Session Supervisor” during the sessions. Typical selection criteria include:

  • An interest in international (commercial) mediation
  • Independence (you must not be enrolled at a participating university or be connected to a member of a team)
  • A good understanding of the ICC Mediation Competition Rules
  • Availability throughout the ICC Mediation Week
  • A willingness to help with all necessary tasks
  • English language skills
