The International Mediation Institute (IMI) is delighted to support the 33rd edition of the Word Forum of Mediation Centres presented by the International Association of Lawyers – Union Internationale des Avocats UIA!
Established in 2001, the UIA World Forum of Mediation Centres brings together top commercial mediation practitioners, mediation center officers, lawyers, business managers, academics, trainers, and others from 20+ countries, spanning multiple continents, to bring diverse perspectives on the development and use of the mediation process.
Whether you are from a place in which mediation is already readily accepted and integrated into the system of dispute resolution, or from one in which the “Dispute Resolution Revolution” is still in a not-yet-fully-accepted stage, there is something of value for you at the Forum. Each one is designed to enhance your knowledge about the mediation process, and to help you identify best practices as a mediator; both of which are accomplished through the various topics in the sessions, typically led by deeply-experienced mediators.
We are delighted to announce that Andy Rogers, IMI Board Member, will be speaking at the Forum where he will share his expertise within the “Comparison of Different Mediation Styles and Their Advantages/Disadvantages” Panel.

The Union Internationale des Avocats/Union Internacional de Abogados (UIA) or International Association of Lawyers deserves to be commended for organising the forthcoming (33rd) World Forum of Mediation Centres in Vienna to be held on 17th and 18th January 2025. It will be certainly a fascinating event due to inclusion of innovative topics on its agenda. Some of those topics are : (1) HOW MAY MEDIATION TRANSFORM IP LITIGATION STRATEGY ?;
(2) MEDIATION – HOW TO BUILD CONSTRUCTIVE AND RESPECTFUL DIALOGUE IN CONFLICT SITUATIONS ;
(3) MEDIATION IN INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS: KEY LEARNINGS FROM THE FIELD;
(4) INNOVATIVE SETTLEMENTS – WHY MEDIATION IS GOOD ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISM;
(5) TALES FROM THE MEDIATION TRENCHES: PEARLS OF WISDOM HARVESTED FROM PAST MEDIATIONS; and
(6) CLIENT REPRESENTATION IN MEDIATION.
Each one of these themes deserves a separate conference or a bulky volume to be published. One can expect many thought-provoking discussions on these and several other aspects of mediation. This event could serve as a precursor to the era of mediation. One can look forward to relishing amazing deliberations and interactions at the 33rd Forum in Vienna.
