The International Mediation Institute (IMI) has approved updates to its Appraisal Process Fee Policy, including an increase to the CMTP Application Processing Fee and the introduction of a new Expedited Processing Fee available to all program types. These changes will take effect on 1 October 2025.
Why this update?
Since IMI’s 2024 fee adjustment (the first in 15 years), demand for program appraisals—especially from training programs—has continued to grow, along with the operational costs of ensuring IMI’s internationally recognized quality standards. While the independent Appraisal Committee continues to contribute voluntarily, IMI has absorbed rising internal costs in administration, case management, IT infrastructure, and staff support.
To ensure timely processing, financial sustainability, and continued accessibility, a further adjustment has become necessary— currently limited to CMTP application processing fees—alongside the introduction of an expedited processing option available to all program types.
Introduction of Expedited Processing Fees
Applicants across all program types (CMTP, QAP, MAQAP, ICQAP) may now request expedited processing in cases such as:
- Submissions outside IMI’s regular application windows
- Requests for priority in review
- Urgent institutional or regulatory deadlines
Updated Pricing Scheme: Revised CMTP Application Processing Fee and new Expedited Processing Fee (effective 1 October 2025)
