The International Mediation Institute is happy to announce the upcoming “Warsaw Negotiation Conference” hosted by the Student Negotiation Association at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Held under the theme “Negotiation Unlocked: Skills, Strategies & Solutions for Tomorrow” this conference serves as a global platform for scholars and practitioners to shape the future of dialogue.

The event is free-of-charge and aims at attracting a diverse international audience, bridging the gap between academia and professional practice. Participants include professors, researchers, and practitioners such as professional mediators, legal experts, and HR managers. A key group consists of top-tier students from leading global universities (including the USA, Canada, India, and Europe) who represent the future leaders in dispute resolution. The conference is held in conjunction with the 17th edition of the Warsaw Negotiation Round, a world-renowned tournament hosting top teams with its grand final at the historic Belweder Palace.

The organizers are currently inviting submissions for their Call for Submissions across four primary tracks:

  • Corporate-HR Negotiation: Navigating the future of workplace dynamics and talent management.
  • Legal Negotiation: The evolving role of legal expertise in complex dispute resolution.
  • International Policy Negotiation: Addressing global shifts, multi-party diplomacy, and strategic alliances.
  • Research & Behavioral Insights in Negotiation: The science and psychology behind effective deals.

The organisers particularly welcome papers and posters that dive deep into the following sub-themes:

  • Negotiation in HR: The impact of the EU Pay Transparency Directive on compensation bargaining.
  • Multi-Party Strategy: International approaches to ongoing conflicts and USA-EU relations.
  • Mediation and ADR: Exploring the principle that mediation is not possible where there is violence.
  • Sustainability: Integrating social responsibility and ethical frameworks into modern negotiation.
  • AI & Automation: Evaluating if AI improves negotiation and the efficacy of AI-enhanced systems.
  • Pedagogy: Best practices, innovative tools, and methods for teaching negotiation.

More information regarding these submissions is available on the organizers website!

The conference will be held in conjunction with the 17th edition of the Warsaw Negotiation Round, a world-renowned tournament hosting top teams from the USA, Canada, India, and Europe, with its grand final at the historic Belweder Palace.
