This guide provides a step-by-step overview of the process for CMTP (Certified Mediator Training Program) organizations to register their graduates as IMI Qualified Mediators on the International Mediation Institute (IMI) platform. By following these instructions, CMTP organizations can ensure a smooth registration process for their graduates, starting from purchasing the required CMTP – IMI Qualified Profile to submitting the graduates, distributing coupon codes and enabling their graduates to create their IMI Qualified Mediator profiles on the IMI website.
The registration process involves two main phases:
- For the CMTP Organization – purchasing the necessary profile products, managing the associated payment, and submitting their graduates
- For the graduates submitted as IMI Qualified Mediators – using the provided coupon codes to purchase and activate their IMI Qualified Profile subscription.

The CMTP organization will have to:
- Purchase the CMTP – IMI Qualified Profile with the quantity equal to the number of graduates, i.e. IMI Qualified Mediators they would like to register.
- Make sure that they provide their “Organization name” on the product page. This field is required, and it’s not possible to purchase this product without it.
- Following the above, please proceed with the checkout process, filling in the billing information, selecting the desired payment method, etc. and finish the order.
- Once the payment is made, the order will be marked as “Completed”, and you will receive an email with automatically generated coupon codes and instructions for their mediators. Please note: orders will automatically be marked as completed unless the payment method is “Direct bank transfer”. In that case, the IMI Team needs to wait for the payment to be reflected on IMI’s bank accounts, after which the order will be manually marked as completed.

We can see the example of one such email in the image above. What is important in regard to these coupon codes is that these are automatically generated based on your order. Codes generated by this functionality will automatically set the appropriate usage limits and restrictions, based on the order data and preset rules. For example, if you have purchased the CMTP – IMI Qualified Profile with quantity set to 7, then these coupon codes will be usable only for 7 graduates, one per graduate.
- The next step is to proceed to the Add Newly Qualified page, and submit your graduates through the submission form on that page.
- In this step, you will also provide the coupon codes you received in the previous email. These codes will then be redistributed to the graduates who are submitted through this process. For more information see the image below.

- If the form submission is successful, you will receive the email from the image below:

- Once the form is approved, the IMI Team will create the new IMI Qualified Mediator Profiles, and all the specified data. Welcome emails will be sent to the mediators, informing them about further steps they need to follow. We will also inform you as the Organization which submitted these mediators with an email looking like this:

The submitted graduates will have to:
- Once the CMTP organization has submitted the organization graduates, this submission is approved. All the submitted graduates will be registered on the IMI website as IMI Qualified mediators with “Incomplete” status. They will all receive an email with precise instructions on how to register and make their profile active. In this email they will also receive two coupon codes that will enable them to complete the registration process for free in the first year. You can see an example of such an email, in the image below:

- The next step is to purchase the IMI Qualified Profile – annual subscription (VAT exclusive, if applicable) product, and apply both coupon codes provided in the email on the Cart page, one by one.
- In the case you fall under the IMI DEI Policy, an additional discount will be applied. The DEI Policy is determined by the location of your billing country.
- Complete the checkout process. No payment is required for the first year.
- After this, you will be registered on the IMI website, and “IMI Qualified Plus” user role will be assigned to you with all the benefits and options that role has. These orders will also be marked as completed automatically, and “IMI Qualified Plus” user role will be assigned automatically.
- You will receive an additional welcome email, and from then on it will be up to you to fill your profile with all the necessary data.
