Michael Cover is a Member of ArbDB Chambers, which provides his services in the areas of mediation, arbitration and dispute boards. He has over 30 years' experience as a solicitor, both in private practice as in-house counsel.
He is an accredited mediator with CEDR, ADR Chambers and ADR Group and has been involved in around 270 mediations. He is a member of the mediation panel of IPOS Mediation, CEDR and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a number of other UK and International Institutions, including the ACICA. AIAC, AAA-ICDR, CPR Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, DIAC, HKIAC, KCAB, QICDRC, SCCA, the World Forum of Offshore Wind.
Michael regularly mediates a wide variety of disputes relating to intellectual property, IT, computer law, competition and anti-trust law, energy, sports and media ( including music ), life sciences, financial services, insurance, infrastructure and the maritime area.
He is a regular writer, speaker and presenter on ADR topics and has been involved in mediation awareness training with the Energy Charter Secretariat in Brussels and the development of standards for investor-state mediation, as well as mediation training for the AIAC and AIADR. He has a particular interest in the mediation of cross-cultural disputes and has mediated disputes in the French language.

Media
* a dispute between a publishing house and two composers of rock music.

Michael seeks to build rapport with the parties and their advisers. He is also prepared to use an evaluative approach to reality test the parties respective positions, when necessary.
