I am attracted to mediation for a number of reasons. The main reason is that peaceful process of dispute resolution is infinitely preferable to litigation. Another is that there is so much agitation in our world and meditation is one way of relieving that. I have studied and practised philosophy for many years and much of that is related to harmony and peace and resolving personal difficulties. I have taken part in many mindfulness exercises and regularly practise that in everyday life. I believe I am a good listener and have a great deal of experience in professional life, so there is a lot to offer potentially.
I have had my own structural engineering practice since 1990 and have been practising as a party wall surveyor for about 25 years. I run a party wall surveyor forum in N London, and have written an article and given a talk on the Party Wall etc. Act to structural engineers. I have a BSc from Manchester University and an MSc and Diploma from Imperial College.

in December 2018, I completed the five day (about 40 hours) mediation course at Regent’s School of Psychotherapy and Psychology and have undertaken some CPD (about 30 hours) since then. Senior tutor was Paul Randolph, and other tutors were Karen Weixel-Dixon and Monica Hanaway.
Unfortunately, Regents University dropped the course this year so there is no link. However, I could supply a pdf document which describes the course in detail.
