I believe it was around 2005, in Rome at an ADR Center event sponsored by the EU, where Michael shared his vision for IMI. I vividly recall the passionate discussion among us practitioners about his concept, and my initial skepticism. It was only a few years later that I recognized the significant impact of IMI on the mediation world and fully embraced it. In 2020, Manon, Adi, and I had a fruitful discussion and received valuable feedback from Michael on our article “Make Mediation a Prerequisite to Civil Litigation: Apply Buckminster’s Law” which was one of the “7 Keys to Unlock Mediation’s Golden Age” published by Mediate.com. ADR Center will support any initiative to honor Michael’s lifelong dedication to mediation, and above all, to perpetuating and evolving his vision into the future.”
