Toos Bik is an experienced and solution focused mediator with a lot of interest in the people and the issues involved in the mediation process. A combination of knowledge, attitude and a range of highly developed mediation skills provide Toos Bik with the ability to mediate in situations that vary from minimal to complex and escalated conflict situations. Toos Bik has done a lot of mediations, such as employment cases, conflicts in firms, problems with social security and Tax cases. From 2000 Toos Bik directed for several years a mediation pilot in the court of Arnhem. Nowadays she lectures and performs in front of large groups of colleagues. Often she has been asked to host a mediation event and yearly she shows lawyers and judges from several Balkan Countries around her work field and introduces them in the world of mediation. She has also trained mediators in some of those countries. Within her own practice participants reported to be treated respectfully and they felt at ease. Toos Bik is able to create a warm atmosphere of confidence, respect and balance. Her perceptive and empathic skills in the mediation make that in a very short time she gets to the core of the issue. The reviews show that a high degree of satisfaction is reported. Toos Bik has mostly been rated at performance levels 4 and 5 on a scale from 1 to 5, and 8 and 9 on a scale from 1 to 10 which is all above average. Remarks of parties concern that every subject, and the matters what lied beneath it, involved in the conflict was on the table and the impartiality was praised several times. It was “much better than expected” and people were happy with the results and the process brought resolution in a remarkable short time. Without exception parties are unanimous about her persistence to bring conflicts to a good end. No reportable negative comments have been made. It can be said that Toos Bik is known as one of the top mediators in the Netherlands, who inspires and supports many mediators.
