This Feedback Digest is based on 24 feedbacks from more than 10 mediations, initially submitted in January 2013. Feedback received indicates that Jonathan is a highly experienced and able mediator who is exceptionally good at gaining the trust of the lay clients and solicitors. Respondents have noted his charm, energy, persistence and tenacity as well as his ability to understand the motivation and needs of the different parties, which has enabled him to settle some extremely difficult cases. It is clear that Jonathan adds value and really digs down into issues, challenging clients and lawyers on necessary points. His preparation is excellent which is quickly apparent and is very helpful during the mediation day. Feedback indicates that Jonathan rolls his sleeves up and gets stuck into disputes. He is flexible whilst being able to explain and manage the mediation process. Clients comment in particular on: - his effective process management - "he moved the process on", "settlement negotiations were structured well and the mediator ensured a steady progress was maintained", "he divided his time and efforts appropriately, sensibly and fairly between the parties", he was "well paced". - his capacity to get to grips with a case - "He was very good: he quickly got to grips with the background to the case and the crux of the matter...Our insurer client even commented that she was very impressed with him" - his ability to establish good relationships - "able to build rapport", "the mediator got on well with our clients and lawyers" - his willingness and capacity to challenge - "he managed the parties expectations", "there was considerable work for the mediator to do to persuade [ ] to accept the difficulties with his case and the mediator achieved this successfully" - the overall tone he creates - "he was very good", "clear", "handled the day well", "generally very good all round", "he handled all issues professionally and independently" - he commands loyalty - "We would definitely use Jonathan's services again".
