Feedback digest
Mark Jackson-Stops has practiced as a mediator since 1995 and has been appointed for more than 900 mediations. This Feedback Digest is based on a sample of 25 feedback forms received since 2006. Themes emerging from the feedback available indicate that Mr Jackson-Stops is a well-prepared, business-like mediator who is patient and quick to understand the issues and dynamics equally. Comments received stated that he “handled the emotions of the day very well.”, “kept everyone hanging in and was patient and meticulous.”, and that he was “helpful, discreet, sensible and well prepared and said the right things at the right times.” Parties and their representatives mention frequently that Mr Jackson-Stops has a notable strength in building rapport and trust and does so with great ease. He adapts his style and process management to the needs of different parties, having the capacity to be directive when required and equally “light-handed”. A number of comments point to self-awareness, confidence and control, for example one party noted he had “an excellent approach as he did not bring his own ego to the process.” Another participant remarked that Mark was tenacious and tireless in his efforts to resolve the dispute, “…when others would have given up.”
After a recent multi-party case of great complexity, one of the solicitors made the following comment: “All parties are in your debt. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to work with a professional of your calibre.” Another wrote: “Mark is, without doubt, the most effective mediator I have ever used. He is, when available, my first choice mediator”.
In summary, feedback indicates a high level of satisfaction notably due to a capacity to be motivating and focused, personable and easy to talk to. Parties also commented on his tact, discretion, and on his calm, reassuring approach.
No reportable negative comments have arisen in the past two calendar years.
