This Feedback Digest is based on 5 Feedbacks from 5 mediations, initially submitted in July 2015. Parties and counsel who have used Robert Korn would overwhelmingly use his services again and would, without hesitation, recommend him to others. Typical of the comments reflecting Mr. Korn’s acceptability are: (i) Mr. Korn diligently pursued a resolution and persevered in obtaining a successful result; (ii) Bob does an excellent job and is tenacious; and (iii) Mr. Korn is smart, professional, and evenhanded. He has a profound understanding of the law and of the practical realities of complex commercial litigation, particularly in the construction industry; (iv) Robert is a very knowledgeable construction attorney and well-versed in construction disputes and litigation and his knowledge of the field was crucial in getting this case settled. Robert Korn’s mediation skills and abilities are rated as highly effective. Typical of feedback received in this regard are: (i) Mr. Korn was able to understand and consider complicated legal challenges to the plaintiff’s underlying claims, which in most circumstances would have been lost on a mediator and would have made no difference in helping the plaintiff understand the true legal risks in the case; (ii) He was able to keep able to keep reluctant parties involved in the process; and (iii) Mr. Korn’s ability to convey the reality of litigation risk to both sides of the dispute was instrumental to achieving a settlement. His patience with both sides and willingness to work through the parties’ initial reluctance to concede anything was also integral. Costs were widely reported as reasonable in the context of the value of the disputes mediated by Robert Korn, and in general a very high degree of satisfaction was reported. No reportable negative comments have been received since Mr. Korn’s designation as an IMI Certified Mediator.
