Survey – UN Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Mediated Settlement Agreements

Shaping the Future of International ADR

We are inviting corporate users and in-house counsel to participate in the following 4-question survey designed to determine the level of corporate user need for a UN Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Mediated Settlement Agreements.

At the 47th Session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in New York in July 2014 a proposal for a multilateral Convention on the enforcement of international commercial settlement agreements reached through mediation was discussed. Such a Convention could put international mediated settlements on the same footing as arbitral awards from an enforcement standpoint. UNCITRAL requested that its Working Group II (Arbitration & Conciliation) consider this issue further at its forthcoming session in New York in February 2015.

This IMI survey is being sent to internal corporate litigation and arbitration counsel and business managers only. The results will be published on the IMI web portal in December 2014. The results will be conveyed to the UNCITRAL Working Group II during its session in February 2015. If you provide your contact details below, a copy of the results of the survey will be emailed to you direct.

Thank you for participating in this crucial survey. It should take just a few minutes to answer the four questions.

The survey will be part of the Interactive Convention: Shaping the Future of International ADR ( You are welcome to join us at this ground-breaking event in London on October 29, 2014!

Kind regards,
