IMI Interns Nicklas Böhm and Ruxandra Gheorghe, with the help of Jasmine Anouna made up this year’s media team at the Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition (CDRC) in Vienna, which took place July 17-20 2018!
Nicklas, Ruxandra and Jasmine provided extensive support at the event on behalf the International Mediation Institute. The CDRC is an annual educational competition that builds mediation and negotiation skills among students and young professionals, with more than 50 competition sessions, educational programs, and social events.
This year, the team covered the competition on the GPC Blog, various social media platforms, and set up the live stream of the final session. The media team reported on CDRC daily, interviewing top experts in the field, taking photos throughout the event, and bringing forth informative, educational, and meaningful content.
From workshops, to competition sessions, to socials – the media team was there, capturing it all. This year’s CDRC workshops had a focal theme – the importance of listening and informing – with the focal aim of promoting more effective dispute resolution. As Greg Bond stated, “To be present is to be in the moment, in the zone!” And that is exactly what the media team did.
For those who could not attend or simply wanted a recap, the CDRC was made completely accessible on social media. Overall, the event was captured and encapsulated thanks to the interns.
A big thank you to the CDRC for letting us be part of this inspiring event and to our interns for all their hard work!
