The 1st International Congress of CCAMI – Geopolitics, Conflict Resolution, and Human Rights will take place on October 23, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil and will be livestreamed through CCAMI Academy as a Webinar.
The event will be attended by leading academics, mediators, arbitrators, lawyers, corporate executives, NGO representatives, members of international organizations, policymakers, and invited government officials. Participants will come from Brazil and abroad, creating a diverse and intercultural environment.
The Congress is organized by the Chamber of Conciliation, Arbitration and Intercultural Mediation (CCAMI) in partnership with the Sustainable Humanitarian Empowerment Institute (SHE). The event will gather international experts, academics, mediators, business leaders, and civil society organizations to discuss contemporary global challenges.
Topics include intercultural justice, the role of companies in promoting peace and inclusion, the impact of climate change on forced migration, and innovative mechanisms for conflict resolution. The congress will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions.
The event prioritizes intercultural dialogue, featuring panels that address migration, forced displacement, and human rights. Accessibility is ensured through simultaneous translation (English–Portuguese) and hybrid participation, making the discussions available to a global audience. This aligns with IMI’s mission, within which the promotion of IMI’s Intercultural Competence Criteria is a fundamental pillar.
CCAMI is Brazil’s first institution dedicated to addressing conflicts involving diverse cultures, corporations, refugees, migrants, and foreign nationals. The 1st International Congress of CCAMI marks the official launch of the Chamber in Brazil. The event opens space for an innovative and timely dialogue on how intercultural mediation can transform relationships across personal, corporate, and international spheres.
IMI will be represented at the conference by Andy Rogers, IMI Chair of Certification Committee and Vice-Chair of the Registration Committee of the Civil Mediation Council (CMC).
The event will also feature many distinguished IMI members, such as Natascha Tunkel, IMI Certified Mediation Advocate, who will be hosting the conference.
