Feedback digest
This Feedback Digest is based on 16 feedback in 16 mediations, initially submitted in August 2015. SMC administers its own survey to evaluate and review its mediation services and skills of the mediator. Ms Woodworth has been highly rated at Levels 4 and 5 (out of 5) by lawyers and parties for whom she has acted as a mediator. Ms Woodworth has been lauded for her problem solving skills. Feedback indicates that she is well-prepared for her mediations and has a firm grasp of the details, however minor. Ms Woodworth is acknowledged for being very adept at recognising the bigger picture and able to quickly identify the underlying interests of the parties instead of being distracted by issues of little relevance. Participants in Ms Woodworth's mediations consider that she has a unique ability to connect with parties and counsel. They note her excellent communication skills, profound sense of patience, and her way of putting parties at ease. In addition, Ms Woodworth is recognised as being able to handle parties’ heightened emotions extremely well, and to remain calm and constructive throughout the mediation process. This helps in providing an atmosphere conducive to the parties focussing on a settlement. Last but not least, Ms Woodworth’s innate sense of impartiality, professionalism, creativity, and sincerity in facilitating the mediation process, make her a very effective mediator.
