He is also a lecturer at other international teaching institutions. Mladen is a frequent public speaker.

I mediated over 50 commercial disputes through court-annexed mediation programs at the Commercial Court in Zagreb, the High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia, and various mediation institutions. Mediation at the High Commercial Court was specific in the sense that it was conducted once a first-instance decision was rendered and appealed by one of the parties.

I also mediated disputes at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Court's Mediation Center and at the Croatian Bar Association's Mediation Center, and conducted several ad hoc mediations between domestic and international parties.

I am a frequent trainer in the Croatian Mediation Association (HUM) basic and advanced training and a frequent mediation advocacy evangelist.

Empowering the parties to resolve their disputes responsibly is the underlying approach in most mediation situations and needs. Techniques and styles (facilitative or evaluative) are viewed as tools to achieve a desired outcome. Courtesy and politeness help bridge cultural differences and create spaces that can serve as platforms for discovering common interests. Emphasizing the available space around the disputed areas helps disputants alleviate their perceptions and lead to creative solutions. Outside of the mediation room, the general approach is to prevent conflicts from arising by empowering parties to listen and accommodate the other party's interests.
