Singapore Convention Enforced

Today was the first of an IMI online webinar series on the Singapore Convention. IMI Board Co-Chair Deborah Masucci gave a presentation on how the Singapore Convention will change global mediation, followed by a Q&A discussion. Watch the video below:

We intend this to be the start of a series of interesting, informational seminars about the Singapore Convention in the lead-up to enforcement.

If you are interested in presenting in a Singapore Convention seminar, please email IMI Support with your name and proposed topic. We particularly welcome proposals from presenters with diverse backgrounds, and women.

Thank you for this video. i would like to stress on the importance of cultural specificities. The way to expand mediation in each country will be easy if we remind the legal society (specially lawyers) of their own customs. Mediation is an important process that existed in every civilization. But the problem is the lack of legal culture and the use of specific language in international contracts. if we intend to expand mediation international organizations have to share their expertise and develop translation into many languages. thank you
