This feedback Digest is based on the responses of seven parties concerning five actual mediations ( three organizational labour cases and two divorce cases) since last 1 1/2 years received until the end of June 2009. Arthur Baanders has consistently been rated at Performance Level 4 or 5 by parties for whom he has acted as a mediator. A very high percentage of parties would recommend him as a mediator, a fact borne out by the number of parties willing to use him again and to provide a reference to parties considering the engagement of Arthur Baanders as a mediator in the future. Costs were generally reported as reasonable in the context of the value of the disputes in question. About the skills of Arthur Baanders, the respondents regularly reported that they perceived him as a conscientious mediator with a sound and solid eagerness to reach a settlement for the parties in mediation. Furthermore he appeared to be both scrupulous and supple in his mediation-techniques and to be really committed to the neutral role, but also knows how to use, for instance, coaching-techniques. His Clients found Arthur Baanders strong in restoring trust in relationships and in managing escalations which arise between the parties. It was reported that he formed a quick insight in the real concerns of the parties, and that his feedback was straight and direct. The parties showed to be satisfied with the mediation process. They reported that the mediator was process oriented but also goal oriented in leading the negotiations and in helping the parties to focus on their actual and future interests. He appears to be able to encourage the parties to develop a range of solutions. No reportable negative comments have arisen.
