Parties and counsel who have used Mr. Lichter would overwhelmingly use his services again and would, without hesitation, recommend him to others. Typical of the comments reflecting Mr. Lichter’s acceptability are: (i) He is bright, highly prepared, pleasant and extremely effective; (ii) I have utilized Mr. Lichter in other matters and have been consistently impressed with his skills as a mediator; (iii) Did a nice job overall. The right mediator for this case; (iv) David has a quick grasp of the facts of each case and he is an effective and creative (when necessary) mediator; and (v) David is a terrific mediator. Mr. Lichter’s mediation skills and abilities are rated as highly effective. Typical of feedback received in this regard are: (i) The mediation involved seven strong-willed parties with firmly held options, and yet, Mr. Lichter was able to keep them at the settlement table long enough to achive a resolution; (ii) Quickly got to the heart of the parties’ positions; (iii) He has the ability to distill the facts and explain the practical effects of litigation to the litigants; and (iv) David is extremely knowledgeable in the financial services area and is very creative and extraordinarily effective as a mediator. Probably the best and most determined mediator I have used in over 25 years of practice. He is very skilled. Mr. Lichter is also highly regarded for his ability to effect a positive outcome. For example, one provider of feedback noted that Mr. Lichter had a good perception of the legal issues, the strengths and weaknesses of the parties’ cases, and the ability to identify the motivating factors impeding and/or likely to result in settlement. While another noted that thanks to Mr. Lichter’s preparation and demeanor, the process was both pleasant and effective. Costs were widely reported as reasonable in the context of the value of the disputes mediated by Mr. Lichter, and in general a very high degree of satisfaction was reported. No reportable negative comments have been received since Mr. Lichter’s designation as an IMI Certified Mediator.
