Actively trains in the fields of advocacy and mediation with Law Society of Singapore, Singapore Mediation Centre, Singapore International Mediation Center, Thammasat University (Thailand) and AAA-ICDR.

- Acted as Co-Mediator in Singapore to successfully resolve a multi-million-dollar dispute involving international parties over a dispute concerning a construction project in an ASEAN country.
- Acted as a sole Mediator in a multi-party dispute over a franchise, helping parties work through the complex relationship and business issues to successfully reach a settlement.
- Acted as a sole Mediator in a multi-ethnic partnership dispute where cultural sensitivities featured prominently and guiding parties to reach a settlement.
- Acted as sole mediator in a dispute between a hospital and aggrieved patient involving allegations of medical negligence. Full settlement reached.
- Acted as Co-Mediator in a maritime cargo claim involving international parties and achieving full settlement.
- Acted as a sole mediator in a dispute between a main-contractor and the designer in relation to a government project and achieving full settlement.
- Acted as counsel in numerous cases during active disputes practice to successfully apply mediation advocacy techniques, effectively working with the appointed mediator to successfully resolve the litigation in a mediated settlement.
I believe that every mediation is a win for the parties because of party autonomy – through the mediation process, the parties finally have a chance to take charge of the outcome of their dispute.
I see my mediator role as one where I am facilitating the parties’ interactions with a view to identifying the real underlying interests at play. At the request of parties, during private sessions, I may adopt a more evaluative style to do reality-checking and guide parties to evaluate options so that they can make meaningful choices as they work towards a negotiated mutually agreed outcome. I am effective in both sole and co-mediator roles.
I encourage the use pre-mediation consultation so that I can work with parties and their counsel to design a meaningful mediation experience to achieve desired outcomes.
My style of mediation is facilitative and evaluative.
